One starry night long ago a young couple arrived in a village, looking for a place to rest. Few people took any notice of them. Fewer still noticed the shepherds who came later, making their way through the little town of Bethlehem. Mary and Joseph welcomed their guests, sent by angels who announced the arrival of this tiny king. Each Christmas, we follow that same path, arriving at a manger to discover the end of our journey isn’t a place, but a person.
